temperature spectra, i.e. the temperature [K] of the Planck Function
that gives the equivalent spectral radiance in the long wavelength regime.
 Disabled
 No RayleighJeans temperature spectra.

 Notes
 Internally the RFM calculates radiance R. This is converted to
RayleighJeans
temperature T_{RJ}
[K] at the output stage (subroutine spcout_sub.f90) using the
formula
T_{RJ} = c_{2} R / ( c_{1} ν^{2})
where c_{1},c_{2} are the radiation constants, approx
1.191E3 nW/(cm^{2} sr (cm^{1})^{4})
and
1.439 K/cm^{1}
respectively (actual values in phycon_dat.f90),
ν is
the wavenumber [cm^{1}], R is the radiance
[nW/(cm^{2} sr cm^{1})].
 The RayleighJeans Temperature is the approximation
to the Brightness
Temperature calculation assuming that
c_{1} ν^{3} / R ≪ 1, i.e.,
using the RayleighJeans approximation that
Temperature and Radiance are linearly related (appropriate in microwave
region).
