Travelling to Oxford

Atmospheric Oceanic and Planetary Physics (AOPP) is in the Atmospheric Building located in the Universty Science Area on Parks Road. It is within easy walking distance of the city centre and about 20 minutes walk from the railway station.

Parking is very limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. If you plan to arrive by car please arrange a parking space as far as possible in advance by telephoning 01865 272933.

If you find you have some spare time then the University Museum adjacent to the Science Area is worth visiting. Don't miss the dodo (remains); and in the Pitt Rivers collection, the shrunken heads, witch in a bottle and Eskimo parka (made out of seal intestine).

Eclectic: Oxford Colleges offer accommodation; although the standard varies, these can be a nice choice if you want the full 'Oxford Experience'. You might wish to try St Hugh's as a start.

Basic: The University Club offers modern accommodation and is close to the Science Area as is Rewley House.
