After the races on Tuesday evening
Brasenose, who in the first division had been
Christ Church II., claimed that they had earlier
in the race bumped
St. John's, but the bump was not acknowledged by
the coxswain. The claim was allowed, and
St. John's therefore lost a place and the bump of
Christ Church II. was disallowed.
The members of the head crew,
[Div I] New College maintained the headship
During the six days' racing 47 bumps were made, of which
Balliol II., and
St. John's II. made six each ...
Trinity lost six places.
