• Bumps racing continued sporadically during WWII, with many colleges combining to form crews
• The results are from a partially filled bumps card from the Brasenose BC archives (image supplied by William O'Chee) — complete for first 3 days with just the New College/SEH & Queen's bump marked for the last day. However, judging by the Times summary, all other crews rowed over.
• The Times

  OXFORD SUMMER EIGHTS Magdalen retained the headship of the river when the Oxford Summer Eights were concluded on Saturday. For the third successive day only one bump was recorded, St Edmund Hall and Queen's, a combined crew, catching New College at the New Bridge. In the four days only seven bumps were made, four of them on the opening day.
