28th August - 4 September
World Rowing Championships (Bled, Slovenia)
Andrew Triggs Hodge (M.04) finished 2nd in Men's coxless pairs.

30th August
Richard Law (M.95), and stroke of the '96 M2, has posted a [YouTube video] version of a film of Eights made back in 1996. One of the featured crews was St Catz M2 (we boated from the old OUBC boathouse in those days, where the Univ boathouse is currently located). Another 'featured' character is the no.6, Matt Holdcroft, who also coached Corpus W1. From about 20:50 in you get the cox's view of their race on the last day (which earned them blades). The voice counting them down at the start is me!

19th July
"Slightly baffling" appearance of members of SCCBC on S. Korean TV (the tall one is Hugh Taylor, David Zimmer in the red t-shirt, and Theresa Kevorkian is the woman). No idea about the Korean "TV Personalities" involved (but they don't look to bad rowing in the VIII at the end of the clip!).
