Using OPTIMO
- Shell script to process a single scan of L1C data,
feeding output profiles of one retrieval as contaminant profiles
for subsequent retrievals.
- Currently works with BT spectra formatted as L1C but doesn't yet
include the noise information

Orbit#504 shows ILS parameters retrieved at 9 frequencies (2 per
band for A, AB, B, C and one for D).
- No obvious trend in these
parameters with frequency
- For now, the ILS program has been modified
to average the parameters for each band and apply these for each microwindow
in the band.
- Wavenumber is also a parameter required for generating the AILS
so the AILS for each microwindow within a band will not be identical

Problems identified with program Lv2PP (all fixed in latest update)
- Sometimes assigns too many LUNs
- Problems reading variable length Scan Information ADS
(identified as cause of problem with Scan#4 reported
at previous meeting)

- Ambiguous relationship between Scan# and Sweep#
