CO now also included in the RAL IMS product. Shows comparison of CO with S5P product for Manchester fires on 26 June 2018, plot of global CO.

Dust also retrieved: plot of several distinct Saharan dust clouds over the Atlantic from June 2018.

Working on IMS NRT retrieval

Obtained 2yr ESA Living PLanet fellowship to work on combining TIR + SWIR CH4 & CO, from IASI, S5P and/or CrIS.

O3 (PS) [Prev]

Working on comparisons of IMS ozone ozone sondes and models.

Noted that recent high tropospheric ozone levels over Europe have not been captured in ECWMF CAMS model.

Adapted ULIRS CO retrieval for OCS but struggling to get any sensitivity.

Assuming a priori from ACE upper troposphere measurement (with constant profile below). Problem might be that a priori covariance is imposing too tight a constraint.

Ash/SO2 (EC) [Prev] [Next]

Ash RI measurements from Ben Reed thesis, composition fitted by Gemma Prata - used to infer composition/mass from IASI for different eruptions.

IASI SO2 amount is known to be underestimated in the presence of cloud - currently trying to quantify this effect.

Scaled linear-retrieval now up to producing daily data for a complete month (August 2010). Click on plots below to enlarge, and reload (Ctrl F5) to re-run animations showing daily evolution. Assume Antarctic signal in both cases is just noise.

	Daily plots of C2H2 (acetylene) Shows biomass burning over Canada
	Daily plots of OCS Shows larger concentration over southern oceans, but also over Siberia and Canada. Unexpected large concentrations 15-30S over land (Australia, Africa, S. America). There may be issues with sunglint which have not yet been eliminated.

NH3 (LV) [Prev]

Processing full IASI dataset for NH3 using MORSE, cloud free scenes, RAL IMS for T,q. Starting with 2014 (for comparisons over India).

Running RFM for large number of IASI simulations for biomass burning scenarios.
