Rebumping between Christ Church and Pembroke, due to changes in crewFrom the main text of Sherwood
We get an interesting note from the Pembroke book, which throws a light on the way in which Torpids were made up at this time. On the second day Pembroke bumped Christ Church at the corner below the Gut. On the third Christ Church changed their crew, and bumped Pembroke at the same place. On the fourth the Pembroke captain took a gig and drove about twenty miles, and brought back Mr. Poole, with whose assistance they bumped Christ Church at the Weirs' Bridge.
