The University Torpid races were brought to a close at Oxford yesterday, when Christchurch left off head of the river, a position they well merited. Yesterday they finished quite their distance ahead of Balliol, and throughout the races they have shown capital form. Generally, perhaps, the form was not quite as good as usual.
