EODG Research Programme

EODG research is mostly completed by Ph.D. students and post-docs employed using grants from a variety of funding agencies e.g. NERC, EU, ESA. We use data from several satellite instruments to address climate issues including quantifying trace gas concentrations in the Earth's atmosphere. A lot of our effort is spent understanding aerosols and clouds in the atmosphere. This work is complemented by laboratory studies into aerosol optical properties, theoretical light scattering by particles and atmospheric modelling.
